Shared-Use Commercial Kitchen Now Open

Anson Community Kitchen is a state-of-the-art kitchen permitted by the North Carolina Department of Environment and National Resources.  It is available to anyone in the region who wishes kitchen access for production of food for public consumption and sale.  The kitchen is established by New Ventures Business Development, Inc., in collaboration with South Piedmont Community College.

Anson Community Kitchen is approximately 900-square-foot kitchen adjacent to the Ingram Community Room in the Lockhart-Taylor Center. The kitchen equipment is professionally designed to accommodate the needs of caterers/chefs and food entrepreneurs.

Among regional food entrepreneurs are those who wish to mass produce food products for sale and farmers or gardeners who raise a sufficient amount of any product that can be converted into a commodity item for sale as cobblers, breads, jellies, jams, and such.  This is an excellent resource for starting and growing a food business; guidance for this venture is provided by New Ventures.

The Ingram Community Room is a featured component of South Piedmont Community College’s Olde Mill Conference Facilities.  It accommodates 400 at tables for meals and 500 for auditorium-style seating.  The facility offers state-of-the-art sound and dual screen visual technology with connections for laptop presentations, additional breakout rooms, comfortable seating and abundant parking.  Anson Community Kitchen may be used in conjunction with Ingram Room events.
